Combining physical yoga postures - all levels are catered for with twice daily yoga and a focus on restorative practice in the afternoons. Pranayama - breathing techniques, meditation, Yoga Nidra - guided relaxation, pilates, chanting, dancing, massage and theraputic healing sessions. It's a great way to deepen your personal practice, calm the mind and cleanse the body of toxins. All activities are optional so you can do as much or as little as you like. It's a perfect opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate your life's purpose, connect with nature and feel yourself again.
The Accommodation:
There are share and single room accommodation available in nicely apointed self contained cabins set in amongst the bush with own verandahs and air conditioning. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom facilities and comfortable lounge area set in a private 30 acre sanctuary.
The Food
We provide you with fresh organic juices, herbal teas and healthy gourmet vegetarian food to nourish and cleanse the body. All dietary requirements can be catered for.
Wholistic therapies and healings are offered as optional extras so the choice is up to you. Guided meditation and nature activites are also available during the weekend. We like to use our tranquil environment to soothe the soul and lift our spirit. Accommodation offers thai style bungalows set in lush rainforest overlooking the ocean. 15 metre swimming pool, some single rooms available otherwise share with own bathrooms. Some bungalows are a short walk to amenities, large yoga hall and 10 mins drive to CBD of Byron Bay.
Sue Hawkins' attention to individual needs and detail of instruction leaves you feeling inspired, nurtured and empowered using the techniques that the retreat has given you to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Sue discovered yoga 23 years ago and has practiced Iyengar Yoga in Sydney and completed a teacher training course in Byron Bay in Astanga and Hatha Yoga. The yoga is a combination of Iyengar style yoga and vinyasa flow with invited certified teachers instructing over the weekend.The retreats attract a wide range of participants and we provide individual attention to beginners and people with injuries or special needs.
Sue's journey has taken her from the high profile, fast paced life in Sydney as a TV Producer to her life now, as creator and instructor of Byron Bay Yoga.
